Get to know Steve!
Steve graduated from The University of Georgia with a degree in Risk Management and Insurance. After a two year stint as a commercial lines underwriter Steve has had a 37 year career as an insurance broker. He is a partner with Sterling Seacrest Pritchard in Atlanta Georgia.
Steve has won numerous awards for his contributions to our industry:
- IIAG Presidents Award, Past Presidents Award and Exceptional Service Award
- Three-time Insurance Man of the Year
- Rough Notes Community Service Award
- Several internal agency sales awards
- 2020 Risk and Insurance Power Broker
He has authored several books and has been a keynote speaker at dozens of conferences. Steve is married to the beautiful women next to him, and the proud father to two boys. He has also been very active in community service.

Tammy Heinen, RMP, CWCP
Get to know Tammy!
Tammy was a majorette at East Tennessee University. After graduation, she began a 22 year career as an asset manager, Tammy joined the Risk Management Inc. (RMI) Team in 2013 where she manages industry related training for more than 200 employers.
Tammy was the Chapter President for NARPM . She is a Reach mentor and has been a success coach at Ivester College. She has also volunteered with Habitat for Humanity.

About Us
We Put Knowledge Into Practice
Risk Management Inc. was founded in 1995 as a work comp consulting firm. We have completed projects for the Georgia Insurance Department, the State Board of Workers' Compensation, the National Council on Workers' Compensation Insurance and hundreds of employers and insurance brokers.
In 1999, we created the Certified Workers' Compensation Professional (CWCP) program to teach employers best practices on workers' comp. Over 200 employers, insurer and TPA’s participate in the program. The feedback from the program lead to the creation of the Work Comp Playbook for Employers. This Playbook, now in its 3rd edition, has sold over 3,800 copies.
Our broker consulting practice is not new. Steve has mentored dozens of million-dollar producers. The ability to equip producers to grow their book of business was a driving influence behind the NEW Commercial Insurance Broker Playbook and the launch of the Consultative Broker Practice Group.
